Temperatures were in the high 90′s and humidity was unbearable, but the crowd that came to hear Will Ready perform was not disappointed. The concert that was supposed to be held outside on the top of Bay Mountain was moved indoors to Mountain Flowers Lodge where the performers and guests enjoyed the cool air conditioned setting.
Will Ready and his RMG Band (Ready Music Group) played many original R&B songs that had the crowd on their feet. A group of ladies from Leland were there to celebrate a special Mother-Daughter night. Local residents and vacationers were there too. The crowd was energized and didn’t stay seated for long. Ready not only had everyone dancing at their seats but he had them dancing around the room.
It was a night to remember. There was no doubt that everyone present was pleasantly entertained.
The Will Ready concert was the second in the SOUNDS OF SLEEPING BEAR concert series on Bay Mountain at The Homestead. The third and final concert features a Gypsy Jazz, Swing and European eclectic collage of old time originals and traditional songs performed by Who Hit John? on Sunday, August 14, 2011. Take the chair lift to the top of Bay Mountain at 6pm to enjoy the spectacular views of Glen Lake to the east and Lake Michigan to the west. Enjoy a beverage (available for purchase) and snacks before the show. The concert begins promptly at 7pm. In case of poor weather, the concert will be moved indoors to Mountain Flowers Lodge at the base of Bay Mountain. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Call The Homestead at 231.334.5100.
