Dining

The food alone is worth the trip. It is served in several charming locations. Not one of those locations is the least bit like any other. Nor are the menus like one another. You’ll find that they vary in décor, style of service, entertainment and price but not in quality. So, you can enjoy casual or fine dining – indoors or out – with stunning views of the water or forest. You can also enjoy dining with the kids (early if you like) or with one another in an adult-only setting at Nonna’s Tavern. Or, for a quiet night, you can pick up take-out foods and beverages at Cavanaugh's Deli & General Store.

Whatever you do, you will find extensive wine lists featuring Leelanau County wines and fine collections of premium beverages. You’ll also find that the flavor filled foods come from farm-fresh, organic Northern Michigan ingredients and the bounty of the waters you’ll see.

The Leelanau Peninsula Vintners' Association was formed by the winemakers of the Leelanau Peninsula to promote and develop the wine industry in our area. Leelanau County has more vineyards (18 and growing) than any other county in the state. The Homestead is pleased to support these important local businesses, to feature their products in the restaurants and at Cavanaugh's Deli & General Store and to host winery tours, wine tastings and wine dinners.
