Bird Watching Package
Come and enjoy the new dimension of “Eco Tourism” near the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore! Michigan’s first trail, Sleeping Bear Birding Trail is anchored by some 71,000 acres of protected, public land. The trail spans 123 miles along M-22 from Manistee through Leelanau County down to Traverse City. You’ll experience a variety of species in this exceptional migratory flyway, such as the Piping Plover, an endangered shorebird that needs vast stretches of undisturbed beach.
Your package includes two nights lodging, continental breakfast each morning and a specially prepared lunch from Cavanaugh’s, the resort’s deli to take with you on the trail.
