Orvis Michigan Fly Fishing School

Orvis is a name that has been synonymous with fly fishing since 1856. Its officially sanctioned Orvis Michigan Fly Fishing School is but one of ten such schools in the county. The school offers classes in fly casting, fishing and tying and has certified guides available for unforgettable outings.

Fly Fishing Schools

  • Two-day school, from $470 per person
  • Two-day Parent/Child School w/ fly-Tying Kit, $495 per person
  • One-day school, $235 per person

Private Lessons

  • One-hour casting lesson, $100 per person
  • Half-hour casting lesson, $75 per person

Guide Services

  • Half day (trout only) with tackle, beverages and snacks, flies and leaders are extra. Maximum two person per boat, $250 per boat
  • Full day (salmon and steelhead or trout only) with tackle, beverages and lunch or dinner, all flies and leaders. Maximum 2 per boat, $375 per boat
