Incredible sunsets over Lake Michigan, views of the Sleeping Bear Dunes and knowing you’re helping people make great memories every day—The Homestead’s John Piombo says these aren’t the only perks that come with working at the only four-season resort in the heart of “America’s Most Beautiful Place.”
“People love the work here for a whole bunch of reasons,” he says. “The Homestead offers starting summer wages of $9 to $15 per hour, and generous employee discounts on everything from spa services to golf and fitness club memberships. But the thing I hear most is that we’ve created a real team-oriented environment, which makes it a fun place to work even in the hectic summer months.”
Piombo oversees food and beverage services at The Homestead and says he’s looking to fill roughly 70 openings by summer—16 of which are fulltime positions. Opportunities include everything from bartenders and servers, to cooks, bussers and dishwashers. The resort offers a starting summer wage of $9 to $15 per hour and benefits that include deep discounts on everything from spa services to golf and fitness club memberships.
There are a lot of great things that come with working at place where millions of people come every summer to play. And with so many things to do at The Homestead, the current list of summer job openings isn’t limited to food and beverage service.
Summer positions also include openings at the Beach Club, Mountain Flowers Golf shop and New Leaf Heath & Fitness Center. Experienced in housekeeping and indoor facilities maintenance? There are job opportunities in these areas, too. The Homestead even has internship openings for college-age students looking to gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.
