The large and very popular Traverse City Film Festival and smaller but enjoyable Frankfort Film Festival are multi-day events. Fans of foreign and independent cinema must make time to stop at The State Theater and Bijou by the Bay, in Traverse city and the Bay Theater in Downtown Suttons Bay. All are flashbacks in time and are fun for the family. AMC Cinemas offers two screens in Traverse City and brings most of the popular recent releases to the region.
