Pedaling Throughout Leelanau

Road bikers will find the open road here in Leelanau County– with its regular ascents and descents– to be both challenging and stunningly beautiful. Covering 27 miles from Good Harbor to Empire, the Sleeping Bear Dunes Heritage Trail is popular for mountain bikers and recreational riders of all ages and skill levels. The Cyclery in downtown Glen Arbor offers bike rentals so that you and your family can enjoy your ideal day of adventure.

One of our favorites for some fresh air with the family, is the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail. It adjoins the Homestead and provides several miles of scenic and well maintained paths suitable to bikers of all skill levels. Another is the mountain biking trail at Palmer Woods, a project of the Leelanau Conservancy.
